The Results Are In...

...and I was right! Just ONE baby! HA! And a healthy baby at that! Needless to say, we are pretty excited and relieved (Buddy was actually pretty anxious since he was almost certain it was twins and wouldn't sit down in the waiting room or during the ultrasound, whereas I was actually calm about it...I guess I just knew I was right!). Everything looks great so far. You will see the the yolk sac and heart in the picture below. We got to see the heart beating during the ultrasound, which was great, but was still too soon to hear it.


I'm still on progesterone meds through the middle of March (but luckily it's no longer the long, thick, painful oil injections that we got to stop a couple weeks ago) and will remain on 'high risk' for lifting/exercise, etc. through the first trimester. The progesterone is needed to support the pregnancy since my body isn't able to make enough on it's own after going through the surgeries. My due date has been updated to October 10th. We go back for another ultrasound in 2 weeks, so we should have another picture then. Thanks again to all of you who have kept us in your prayers and will continue to do so throughout this pregnancy.
